Kusaka Junichi has been making mostly clothing works for the
past ten years. He formed an art unit "ID Boutique" in 1995.
The name "ID Boutique" refers to a shop for selling identity.
In this exhibition, Kusaka shows his works as an individual because his main interest now is a pursuit of "making beautiful things".
He finds "beauty" in something exists between one's desire and denial.
His clothing works may look bold, but they actually are based on perseptive insight and subtle craftsmanship.
